RevitaLash® at Quai d’Orsay for Pink October – Pride and Privilege!

As we are near the end of Pink October, a month that is particularly important for us and for our very special brand RevitaLash® Cosmetics, it seemed an appropriate time to review an amazing event that we were honoured and delighted to partner and also to spotlight the very special lady who made this memorable evening possible.

For those who follow us via the social media you will almost certainly know that RevitaLash® Cosmetics, the brand that launched the internationally renowned eyelash conditioner 10 years ago is particularly active when it comes to supporting breast cancer awareness and research.  Each year the company gives a portion of it’s profits to this noble cause and in France we contribute by piloting projects such as “Je Donne ma Perruque”, an initiative whereby patients recovering from cancer can donate their wigs.   They are then recycled to patients in need and in return the donor receives a complimentary Revitalash®. We also support a number of “grass-roots” associations such as “Souffle de Violette” founded by the Ereel Foundation that helps women suffering and recovering from cancer and in particular when it comes to finding employment or returning to work.  No mean feat!

This year has been no exception and we have been delighted to continue our partnership with “Souffle de Violette”.  Whether it’s contributing with fundraising at the famous “Crazy Horse Paris” burlesque cabaret, taking part at the National Trotting Grand Prix in Vincennes (our PR Liz even quit her comfort zone to compete in the RevitaLash® Grand prix!) or just lending a hand at wellness workshops – RevitaLash® is never far away!

So, what did Pink October have in store for us this year?  Once again we were honoured to partner a truly magnificent event – a gala fundraising dinner organised by the Ereel Foundation at an exceptional venue, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development under the honorary patronage of the Minister’s wife Madame Brigitte Ayrault.

A gourmet banquet prepared voluntarily and with passion by a team of “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” chefs with ingredients donated in partnership with Rungis international market.   Perfection!  Silver service with a smile from undergraduate students from the highly reputed Ferrandi catering school, fine wines and champagne from partners Chapoutier and Comte de Cherulin and a fabulous fashion show with creations from Zélia and modelled by women recovering from cancer coached by dancers from the Crazy Horse as well as TV personalities.

It was also a fabulous opportunity  to be able to invite Dr. Michael Brinkenhoff CEO and creator of RevitaLash® as guest of honour at our table and for him to see how the RevitaLash® colours fly high for charity in France!

It is hard to imagine that such a prestigious event was brought together and pulled off by just one, very special lady, Ereel’s president Christine Salaün-Chevalier and it is to her we pay a very special tribute today!

Christine who is not only a freelance coach is simply, unique!  Her energy and powers of persuasion are contagious and her charismatic personality shines out like a celestial being … Hardly surprising that Ereel the name of her foundation in Hebrew means exactly that …. Angel!

Thank you Christine for making this wonderful event possible and for the difference that you make to the lives of so many individuals!  We at La Rivière and RevitaLash® in particular are honoured to be partners of you foundation!
